The Beijing authorities have vowed1 to take action on the floating fluffy2 tree seeds that irritate capital residents every spring, ending the problem by 2020.  北京市有關部門表示要采取行動治理每年春天都困擾首都居民的飛絮，到2020年徹底解決該問題。   Beijing has about 2 million female poplar and willow3 trees which produce catkins to spread their seeds every spring, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Forestry4 (BMBLF) was quoted as saying on Wednesday by the Beijing Morning Post.  據《北京晨報》援引北京市園林局的信息顯示，目前，北京約有200萬株楊柳樹雌株，每年春季都產生大量飛絮。   Catkin特指那些“絮”，fluffy catkins就是漫天飛舞的楊柳“飛絮”，產生飛絮的是楊柳樹雌株（"female" willow and poplar trees）。
